Does anyone know where i can check vehicle recalls?

I want to specifically see if my vehicle has had any recalls taken care of or not. Is there a site other than the national highway safety site that will give me specific info on the used vehicle i just got? it is a 1999 Hyundai Elantra.

3. just type in the search engine the year, make and model and follow that with recalls. There will be a dozen sites telling you about recalls. (google) Example: 1996 ford mustang recalls

6. You know a mechanic with ALLDATA?
7. All you have to do and it is free is call the vehicles manufacturer and give them the VIN and they will check this for you free. Or you can use this site as well. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/
